About
Botanica Wines is located on Protea Heights Farm in Stellenbosch. Our first vineyards were planted on our Devon Valley flower farm in 2009 with high-density plantings of Bordeaux varieties that were suitable for the site. Only 5 hectares are planted with vines and 8 hectares are protea flowers. We farm organically, export cut flowers, raise chickens and herd cats. Ginny Povall, owner and winemaker, is a frustrated artist who’s aesthetic shows in her wine labels and gardens.
