About
Keermont Vineyards is a small family owned wine estate situated in a naturally formed amphitheatre between the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountain ranges. The Wraith family purchased the farm in 2003 and once Alex Starey joined the team in 2005, started a planting program to bring the 8 ha (19 acres) of vines up to a total of 30 ha (74 acres) , with 13 different cultivars planted. We follow a traditional winemaking philosophy meaning only wild yeast fermentation, no adjustment to acid or alcohol, maturation in seasoned oak barrels and bottling is done by hand with little or no filtration.
