Vinification
The grapes were whole-bunch pressed. Settling for one day, after that the juice was racked off into 500 litre old French oak barrels where natural fermentation took place.
Vineyard
Bush vines planted in granite soils with good water holding capacity. The climate is warm and temperate. In winter, there is much more rainfall than in summer. The average temperature in Franschhoek is 16.4 °C. The rainfall here averages 1000 mm per annum.
