Thistle and Weed

About

Friends with a shared love for soil, vines, sunlight & wine created Thistle and Weed in the summer of 2015. With more than 25 harvests between them, winemaker Stephanie Wiid & viticulturist Etienne Terblanche have travelled the world & partnered up to create an expression of selected vineyard sites. The wines are guided through the winery with minimal intervention to give the terroir centre stage. Wines are named after weeds commonly found in our vineyards where their colloquial Afrikaans names are used. Accolades include a 5 star Platter Guide rating for the maiden release of Duwweltjie.
